Vox Clamantis

Vox Clamantis, meaning the voice of one crying out,  is a 10,000 line poem detailing Gower's reaction to the Peasants Revolt of 1381.

 

The poem details the corruption in society that would lead the Peasants to assault London and the possible effects of a society removed from law and education.
